More than 300 Indian citizens back home due to unrest in Egypt


Today more than 300 hundred Indian Citizens from Egypt were came back
to India from a special Air India A1 160 Boeing Flight from Cario to
Mumbai as due to unrest and riot kind of situation in Egypt. There are
around 3,600 Indians live in Egypt and over 2,000 of them live in the
Capital Cairo,Egypt. The Special flight was delayed by more than eight
hours and reached to Mumbai International Airport by 2:19 pm.

While asking about the prevailing Unrest situation in Egypt, Arrived
Indian Passenger N. P. Singh said,"there were protest happening all
around Egypt. People were remained at their home and there were unrest
all around. We have even faced many problems, the flight were
cancelled and there were no flights but due to the help of the Indian
Embassy we are here back in India."

One of the Passenger Mr. Kiran said,"The were all standstill situation
in Egypt, there were no internet no proper facilities, all were closed
except Television. We were just at home and watching what was
happening in Egypt. There were protest happening all around by
opposition against Egypt president Hosni Mubarak who is there as a
president from last 30 years. There were flights cancelled and we face
lot of problems but Indian Embassy help us a lot and thats why I am
here in India."

Sudhir Singh one of the pasenger of the Boeing Flight from Cairo,
said,"In Egypt the offices were closed and from last few days we were
just at home and I am Thankful to the Indian Embassy to help us to
back in India."
