Veteran Actress and social activist Shabana Azmi lent her support to the Whirlpool's social inititive Campaign 'Ek Jodi Kapda' by being the first person to donate for the cause. Whirlpool of India campaign 'Ek Jodi Kapda' joins hands with GOONJ, an award winning voluntary organization which is working from last 12 years on Vastra Samman movement all across the country. The Movement GOONJ is involving thousands of volunteers in spreading awareness among the urban masses about the relevance of their unused cloth and other household material as a resource for rural development.. The 'Ek Jodi Kapda' initiative is a campaign covering 200 cities across India in an attempt to directly involve the urban consumer.
While speaking to the media,Veteran Actress Shabana Azmi said," I appeal to the bollwood people and the masses that they should come forward for this campaign 'Ek Jodi Kapda' to reach out to the less fortunate to bring a smile on their faces simply by providing with one of life's basic human necessity: clothes."
