Badminton Players looking up towards Indian Super series
Indian Badminton sensation Saina Nehwal, Jwala Gutta , Aparna Popat, Badminton Coach Pullela Gopichand were present along with some of the yesteryear's Badminton players at a felicitation programme organised by a 'Badminton 45 - Badminton Tournament' for the completion of a 25 years at Bombay Gymkhana, Mumbai. Badminton players Saina Nehwal, Pullela Gopichand, Aparna Popat, Jwala Gutta,Vimal Kumar were felicitated for their contribution and achievement in the Badminton. On the occasion, A book 'Courting Success- Icons of India' was also launched which was written by Shirish Natkarni which detailed about Badminton stars in India and their achievements.
While Speaking to the Media Golden girl Saina Nehwal said," There were many Badminton legends here right now and I get lot of encouragement from them and I am really Happy to be here." When asked about the Indian Super Series, she replied,All India Series is coming closer now and it will be a major tournament and It's a first time that Super series will held in India. So, I am working hard, previously I had won in Common Wealth Games and I will try to do well in this tournament too.
On the Otherside Former Indian Player and Current Indian Badminton Coach, Pullela Gopichand said,"I think Indian Super series will be a big tounament and before that, we also have Englang super series in upcoming March and this two Tournaments is a big tournaments for the Indian Badminton Players. There is just four weeks remaining for the Tournament, so there has to be a good preparation and players should focus on the fitness and I hope that players will perform better."
One of the Best Mixed-Doubles Badminton Player, Jwala Gutta said,"I take only one Tournament at a time and for me right now is all England Championships and Swizz Open, I played Last Tournament in Korea and we had good wins, So you can expect a lot from us this year."
