SIES honoured Lata Ji, Baba Ramdev and Arvind Gupta with Chandraskarendra Saraswati National Eminence Awards
Today Indian nightingale Lata Mangeshkar, World Renowned Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and populariser in science field Arvind Gupta were felicitated and awarded 'Chandraskarendra Saraswati National Eminence Awards' by Governor of Maharashtra K. Shankaranarayan in an event organised by The South Indian Education Society(SIES) at Shamukhananda Hall in Mumbai. Every year, this award is given to different personalities who have achieved an excellence in their respective fields. Lata Mangeshkar was awarded in the category of Community leadership, Baba Ramdev was awarded in the category of Social Thinker and Arvind Gupta got the award in the category of Science and Technology.
While speaking to the media, Lata Mangeshkar said,"this kind of award is a big thing for me, there were many people present here and Prabhu Shri Shankaracharya was also there, Governer of Maharashtra was also present and I am happy that I had received the award by the Governor. I am very happy and I want to thanks to all,those who made me, those who appreciated me and loved me from last 60 years."
On the other side, Yoga guru Baba Ramadev said,"I have never relied on the awards throughout my life, I belong from a very small village and I am just like a some other common people. One thing that I want to make up is that,all the people across the nation would smile and live happily and the day when I see this is happening then I would consider and believe that My goal is successful. There are many questions that we need to deal with it,Now today's youth is in a peril situation and there are various other thing as like Food, Home, Culture and Border that we must save and this would be possible only when all the Indians strongly come together and altogether step up to save it. India is called the Youth nation among the world and the youth has to take charge and command to erect and take our country to progress."
populariser in science field and a renowned Toy maker Arvind Gupta said,"From many years I have been trying to make fun to children, I had the privilege to go to many schools, poor schools, municipal schools, village schools. My dream was to do something with ordinary things because children are very curious as they want to do things with their own hands. I am also grateful that I have got this award and I am thankful to all."
