APJ Abdul Kalam: Indian Banks has to be technologically advanced for prospering economic growth by 2020
Today Indian Former President APJ Abdul Kalam was present in an event of 7th Edition of Annual Banking Technology Conference and Awards along withof SBI, Chairman O.P Bhatt and Managinig Director of Bank of Baroda, M.D. Mallya at Hotel Trident Mumbai.The Bank Tech Conference is about to discuss incorporated various technology issues that are challenging to Indian Banking Industry. According to A P J Abdul Kalam, The country will only prosper when our Banking Sector will start using technology at a higher extent and strenthening of Technology indirectly make india economically strong by the year 2020.
While speaking to Media, Former President APJ Abdul Kalam said,"I am delighted to participate in the Banking Technology Conference and giving away the Banking Technology awards 2010, in Mumbai. I visualise the following demands in the emerging areasof Banking and there is a time left for 9 years to compel india's Mission to Make India Economically Strong and technically equiped by 2020. For Bringing Sustainable rural development, technology ceretainly is an important factor as technology provides innovative solutions to the global challenges. If Banking adopts technology it will certainly help to meet the challenges of Rural areas for the development. "
He also added,"As India celebrates 64 years of Independence and we are the largest democracy in the World and for economically development activities, it just remaining nine years for the mission 2020 for development and there is already a significant progress is happening in all direction and we have to make a sustainable system which acts as an enabler nad brings growth to the country."
