Twenty-Nine ministers sworn in by Governor Sankaranarayanan


Today the Oath Taking Ceremony was held at the Vidhan Bhavan of Mumbai where 29 Ministers - 19 Ministers and 10 Ministers of State were given oath of office and secrecy by the Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan .Now,the strength of the Ministry has increased to 40 as 11 Ministers including the Chief Minister had taken oath on November 11.

The Ministers sworn in today were Narayan Rane, Dr Patangrao Kadam, Shivajirao Moghe, Dr Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, Harshavardhan Patil, Balasaheb Thorat, Anil Deshmukh, Ramraje Naik-Nimbalkar, Babanrao Pachpute, Rajesh Tope, Rajendra Darda, Naseem Khan, Suresh Shetty, Hasan Mushrif, Dr Nitin Raut, Madhukarrao Chavan, Padmakar Valvi, Varsha Gaikwad and Sanjay Deotale. The Ministers of State who were inducted today are: Ranjit Kamble, Bhaskar Jadhav, Prakash Solunke, Sachin Ahir, Fauzia Khan, Gulabrao Deokar, Satej Patil, Rajendra Mulak, Rajendra Gavit and Dattatraya Sawant.
Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Chairman of the State Legislative Council Shivajirao Deshmukh, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dilip Walse-Patil, Leader of the Opposition Eknath Khadse, Minsters of the Government, officials and other invitees were present on the occasion.

While speaking to the Media, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said,"Today we have completed our oath taking ceremony and our Government is now formed and from now on we will just concentrate on our works.
