BCCI: Decision will be taken on Kochi Team after Nov 27




The IPL Governing Council meeting was held today at Mumbai Cricket Association Ground by BCCI to discuss for the preparations related to the Upcoming IPL season 2011.
The BCCI President Shashank Manohar was present along with the Vice President Rajeev Shukla, Former Cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, BCCI Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty, Arun Jaetley and other BCCI officials. According to BCCI, The IPL season will going to be start from 8 April 2011 and end on 22 May 2011 and the Opening Ceremony will be held on 7 April 2011.

While Speaking to the Media BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla said, " The IPL Governing Council for the IPL4 decided that the Player Auction for the IPL 4 will take place on 8 and 9 January 2011 in Mumbai.We also want to make the fourth season a big success.

When asked about the Kochi Team Decision, Mr. shukla said,"There was no decision took place on Kochi team today because they have been given one-month notice and the decision on Kochi team will be taken after November 27 when the Kochi team deadline expires,”
He also alleged that,"There will be definitely eight teams playing in the upcoming IPL season 4."
